George Green (2020)

During filming of Unbelievers, we had an afternoon's unplanned downtime, with the camera crew and the actor (James Bristol) who plays the comic-relief character George. We started improvising.

Then life got in the way and the improv stuff stayed in the can for the best part of five years.

However, while we were restructuring the Unbelievers pilot into a web miniseries in 2019, we got back in touch with James and shot a few more mini-episodes - we kept two of the earlier three, rewrote and reshot the other, and added a further four, winding up with a set of seven videos featuring George's continued misadventures. These were released in the spring of 2020, not far behind the pilot miniseries.

And then Covid happened. James sent us some improvised footage of George dealing in his own odd way with lockdown restrictions, which I cut together into a two-part special and released over the summer.
