Inkblot Trees (2017)
There's no big thought process behind this one. I dribbled some black ink onto A5-size sheets of cartridge paper, blew it across the page with a straw to create spidery blot shapes (a tactic I picked up from Stefan G. Bucher of Daily Monster fame), and then used common-or-garden felt-tip pens to add leaves and/or flowers to each blot to turn it into a tree. I got through half a dozen, then moved on to other things, but I liked the results enough to give them an airing here.
