A few years after Eagle Mountain, Steve Hunt set about producing a second CD, this time featuring music from a wider range of genres, and once again asked me to design the album artwork.
Although the album starts off with an assortment of lighter pieces for jazz ensemble or for solo piano, its title refers mainly to the later group of tracks with a fuller orchestral treatment, themed around the end of history as presented in the Biblical book of Revelation. The photomanipulated imagery represents the pinnacles of human achievement, built on sand which is running out from under us as time draws towards its appointed close.
This was the last of Steve's albums for which I designed a full set of CD packaging, as he chose to release his next major project Driftwood online only.
